Army Repels ISIL Offensives on 3 Points in Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army forces and their allies repulsed the ISIL terrorists’ attacks against three different positions in Southern Deir Ezzur on Wednesday.

The ISIL offensives on army positions in Huweija al-Sakar, al-Mari’a in the Southern parts and al-Jafra in the Southeastern parts of Deir Ezzur were repelled by the army and popular forces.

Earlier today, the Syrian troops struck the ISIL’s concentration centers and gatherings in the mountains near the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur and inflicted major casualties and losses on the terrorists.

Army soldiers, in their attacks near the ISIL’s stronghold in al-Thardah mountain, killed at least 20 militants and wounded many more.

Meantime on Monday, the Syrian army and popular forces repulsed ISIL’s attacks on two districts in Deir Ezzur city in Eastern Syria after several hours of fierce clashes with the terrorists.

The Syrian army and its allies fended off ISIL’s attack on Huweija al-Sakar and al-Sina’ah districts in Deir Ezzur. After the retreat of the terrorists from the battlefield, the two sides again engaged in intense exchange of fire and clashes pursued between the two sides, reports said.

Meantime, the Syrian air force pounded the ISIL’s positions in al-Siyaseh bridge, al-Halbiyeh square, al-Sina’ah and al-Hosseiniyeh al-Janiniya districts in Deir Ezzur city, killing several terrorists and destroying their military vehicles.
