The Syrian army managed to cut off the Takfiri terrorists’ supply route from Northern Aleppo to the Southern parts of the province, killing tens of militants, including a senior commander, on Tuesday.

Eiman Zakariya, a notorious terrorist commander, and 100 of his men were killed as the army cut off the supply route of the militants from Northern to Southern Aleppo.

The new advances of the Syrian army came after the terrorists’ defeat in their military operations to seize back Aleppo’s Western gate.

The recent liberation of the towns of Nubl and al-Zahra greatly influenced the army’s success in cutting North-South Aleppo supply route.

A battlefield source said that the Takfiri terrorists were trying to seize back the village of Ein Daqaneh in order to set up a military base in the city of Azaz to carry out their attacks on the Northern parts of Aleppo which are under the control of the Kurdish forces.

In a relevant development earlier on Tuesday, the Syrian military helicopters opened heavy fire at the only supply line to the terrorist groups’ positions in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo city, and cut off the road for hours.

The Syrian choppers targeted the terrorists’ vehicles driving on Castello Road, known by the terrorists as the death road, and destroyed several military vehicles of the militants.

The Syrian fighter jets, meantime, hit the communication lines of the ISIL terrorists near the districts of al-Lairamoun and Khalediye and thwarted the ISIL attempts to break through the government forces’ lines of defense.

The neighborhoods of al-Aziziyeh, al-Soleimaniyeh, al-Meydan and al-Azimiyeh in the Northern city of Aleppo were also the scene of the army attacks against the terrorists.

Also in the Northern province on Monday, the Syrian and Russian Air Force, in at least eighty joint combat sorties, targeted the positions of al-Nusra Front in the Southern and Central parts of Aleppo province, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.

The Syrian fighter jets and their Russian counterparts hit al-Nusra positions in the militant-held areas of the neighborhoods of Lairamoun, Bani Zeid, al-Qasr and al-Zahra in Aleppo, which took the lives of tens of the militants.

Concentration centers of al-Nusra Front in al-Zerbeh and al-Eis also came under the massive bombardments of the Syrian and Russian jets, which ended in the killing or injuring of dozens of the terrorists and destruction of the group’s military facilities in the region.

The heavy bombardments slowed down the militants’ logistic movements.
