Iran’s Velayati says will curb inflation within 100 days

Through increasing the domestic production and speeding up the customs clearance process it is possible to curb the high inflation rate in the country within 100 days, principlist presidential candidate Ali Akbar Velayati says.
He added facilities should be granted to producers to promote production in the country and also accelerate the customs clearance process of essential goods so that a large quantity of goods flow into the market, which will help curb the inflation.
To develop the country Iran needs a “Mahathir Mohammad” who would be a “physician” as well, Velayati, a pediatrician, said in a radio program on Sunday. However, Velayati said it is an “exaggeration” if it is said that the president must be a physician but physician he been trained how to diagnose a disease and then cure it.
