Iran favoring closer ties with nations: Rouhani
Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has stressed the importance of strengthening relations with all countries based on mutual respect.
According to Press TV, in a Tuesday meeting with Iran’s new ambassadors to Slovenia, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Sudan and Kazakhstan before their departure for their countries of mission, the Iranian president called on the envoys to make efforts to improve Tehran’s ties with other countries.
Rouhani in this meeting said, “The Administration of Prudence and Hope has always placed emphasis on the expansion of relations with other countries based on mutual respect and common interests.”
He expressed hope the envoys would succeed in fulfilling their responsibilities.
The newly-appointed ambassadors, in turn, vowed to try their utmost efforts to improve Iran’s ties with other countries.
