The Supreme Leader recalled the Iraqi invasion of Iran by Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein at the behest of Washington saying that the then US administration supported Saddam to perpetrate war crimes and crimes against humanity in Iran.

The war veterans are images of the war crimes of big powers encouraging Iraqi dictator Saddam to invade Iran, the Supreme Leader said.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei noted that Iranian society can learn many realities of politics, international relations and history from the war veterans.
