The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei accused the United States of supporting terrorism, pointing to the US drone strikes that have claimed the lives of scores in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

In a message delivered by his advisor for international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, during the International Conference on Global Fight against Terrorism, Sayyed Imam Ali Khamenei said a country whose military occupation forces have been responsible for such deaths couldn’t lecture the world about fighting terror.
“The US and European governments that follow it describe Palestinian combatant groups who fight for liberation of their land as terrorists” Supreme Leader added in the first day of the two-day conference in Tehran.
The conference opened on Saturday, and was inaugurated by the Supreme Leader’s message and then a speech for the President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Presidents of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Tajikistan and Sudan were among the high- ranking officials who participated in the conference.
Several presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and ministers in charge of terrorism as well as related experts from 60 world countries are also attending the meeting.
Several panels of discussion are to be held on the second day of the conference. It would be wrapped up later on Sunday with an address by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi.
Participants of the conference have agreed to hold its next year’s meeting in Baghdad, Iraq.
