Hezbollah targets ‘elite’ ‘israeli’ brigade with rocket barrage; hits ground forces base for the first time

The Hezbollah resistance movement in Lebanon has launched a rocket barrage targeting an elite Israeli brigade in the northern region of the occupied Palestinian territories. In a notable escalation, the group also struck an Israeli army ground forces camp for the first time.

The Islamic Resistance has claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on the Shraga base, which serves as the administrative headquarters for the Golani Brigade Command, located north of the city of Akka. The attack occurred on Monday, according to an official statement released by the group.

Hezbollah operatives launched a barrage of rockets at the Foran Camp, a strategic base utilized for deploying regime ground forces, aimed at maintaining operational readiness towards the Syrian front. This escalation occurred in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in Syria.

On Monday, the group launched a coordinated rocket attack on the northern Rawia Base, the Command Headquarters for the Israeli military’s 71st Armored Battalion of the 188th Brigade, situated in the Golan Heights. This base is known to house an ammunition depot for tanks.

In a separate development, Hezbollah fighters launched a series of rocket attacks targeting the settlements of Shoumera, Nahariyya, Meron, Avivim, and Malikiyah.

In southern Lebanon, Hezbollah launched an attack on Israeli military forces positioned in a fortified residence on the southern edge of al-Bayyada. The assault occurred as Israeli troops were withdrawing from the town following significant losses in clashes with Hezbollah on Sunday.

The operation led to the demolition of the residence and resulted in verified casualties among the targeted military personnel.

In southern Lebanon, Hezbollah launched rocket attacks targeting concentrations of Israeli forces situated at the Deir Mimas-Kfar Kila triangle and areas south of the city of Khiam.

The group reported that a Merkava tank was struck by a guided missile west of Shamaa, resulting in its destruction and causing casualties among its crew.

Lebanon’s al-Manar television network reports that Israeli forces have retracted their military vehicles from near the Deir region and the town of Tal al-Lubia. Additionally, they have minimized their presence in the town of Deir Mimas, limiting it to the eastern outskirts bordering the Tal al-Nahhas area.

According to the network, the retreat occurred due to “intense pressure from the resistance’s assaults and targeted operations, which have involved the use of rockets and guided missiles.”

The attacks resulted in the tragic loss of 12 lives, including two children, and caused numerous severe injuries affecting thousands of individuals.

Footage captioned with the words, “Despite the injuries, our presence remains steadfast on the battlefield,” has emerged, further stating, “We vow to persist until the end, confronting them directly.”

The statement highlighted the presence of hundreds of individuals injured during the assaults on Tuesday and Wednesday. It emphasized their renewed resolve, asserting that they remain steadfast in their determination to resist, confront, and weaken the opposing forces.

“This resistance continues to serve as a leading force in the battle against global arrogance, championing the cause of the oppressed worldwide.”

The Israeli military has described the incident involving Elrich as both “serious and unusual,” according to official statements.

A video has resurfaced quoting comments made by the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, former Secretary General of Hezbollah, who was killed in a series of intense Israeli airstrikes on Beirut, Lebanon, in September. In his remarks, Nasrallah encouraged members of the group by stating, “If you are in pain, they are in pain as you are.”

These developments have occurred against the backdrop of Israel’s increasingly intensified military actions against Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of at least 3,768 individuals nationwide since October of last year.

The movement has launched a series of hundreds of successful retaliatory operations targeting the occupied territories.

On Sunday, an unprecedented number of operations targeting Israeli interests were executed.

Resistance media outlets have reported that a record-breaking fifty-one operations were carried out, exceeding the previous high of forty-eight set just last month.

The movement’s assault marked a significant milestone, as its projectiles achieved an unprecedented range of 150 kilometers (93 miles). This advance was demonstrated by the drone strike on the Asdod Naval Base and the missile attack on the Palmachim Base, located south of Tel Aviv, according to their statement.

The warning sirens were activated 543 times as a result of the launch of more than 350 rockets, prompting approximately four million residents to seek shelter and resulting in substantial damage and casualties.
