Maduro Urges Supporters to Rally Before January 10 Inauguration Ceremony

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has issued a call for his supporters to mobilize and demonstrate publicly.

According to a report by Xinhua, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro asserted on social media on Saturday that the nation is actively safeguarding its entitlements to peace, stability, and calm. “Let no one be mistaken!” he emphasized.

In the midst of escalating political tensions in Venezuela, the Democratic Unity Platform (PUD) opposition coalition has asserted that its candidate, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, rightfully secured victory in the recent election. The coalition has unveiled intentions to conduct Gonzalez Urrutia’s inauguration on January 10.

The Partnership for Unified Development (PUD) is supported by a coalition of Western nations, spearheaded by the United States.

President Nicolás Maduro announced that the political and social groups backing his government will “maintain a constant and enthusiastic mobilization in diverse forms.” He further stated that “the people’s forces will be actively present on January 10.”

On January 10, Venezuelan citizens are set to take the oath, marked by the characteristic joy that embodies the nation’s spirit, as they rally for their cause and homeland. President Nicolás Maduro remarked on the significance of the event, highlighting the considerable challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the country as it approaches 2025.

The president declared that attempts to undermine the nation have been unsuccessful in quelling the unwavering resolve of its citizens. He called on supporters to rally in defense of their voting rights.
