The Israeli soldier connected to the assassination of Yahya Sinwar has been identified
A group of Palestinians residing in territories occupied by Israel have reportedly identified an Israeli soldier allegedly involved in the assassination of Yayha Sinwar, the former political leader of the Hamas Resistance Movement.

Newly released video footage reportedly depicts a group of Palestinian youths singling out a soldier and issuing death threats against him for his alleged role in the assassination of Sinwar. This development was reported by Palestine’s Shehab news agency in a broadcast issued early Monday.
The Israeli military service member has been identified as Isaac Cohen. Photographs depicting him and his family have also been made public.
Yahya Sinwar, a prominent Hamas figure, held the position of the movement’s political chief from August 2024 until his demise on October 16 that same year. He perished during clashes with Israeli forces in Gaza.
Yahya Sinwar has been appointed as the new political leader of Hamas following the assassination of his predecessor, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, Iran, on July 31. Haniyeh was in the Iranian capital to participate in the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian, which took place a day prior. The attack is attributed to the Israeli regime.
