More than 130 civilians have reportedly lost their lives amid clashes in two Syrian provinces

In a recent outbreak of violence in Syria, clashes in the provinces of Latakia and Tartus have resulted in the deaths of at least 134 individuals. Among the casualties were 13 women and five children, marking a tragic toll from Friday's confrontations.

TASS reports that the majority of the casualties were members of the Alawite community.

On Friday, the Syrian Defense Ministry announced that it has successfully regained control over key coastal regions. However, clashes persist in certain locations, including Qardaha.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has reported that recent clashes have resulted in over 70 fatalities.
