Iran Accuses US of Collusion with ‘israel’ in Fueling Regional Instability
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the United States of being complicit in what he describes as the Israeli regime's unlawful actions that contribute to insecurity and instability in the region.

During a meeting with Hans Grundberg, the United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, in Tehran on Saturday, Araghchi denounced the ongoing military assaults by the United States on various regions in the Arab nation, citing the loss of civilian lives and the devastation of infrastructure.
He stated, “The recent actions of the US military in Yemen, aligned with the increasing aggression of the Zionist regime in Gaza and its attacks on Lebanon and Syria, underscore the US’s complicity in Israel’s disregard for international law and its cooperation in fostering insecurity and instability throughout the region.”
He voiced concerns over what he described as the United States’ “unrealistic” perception of Yemen’s people and the broader region, urging American political leaders to acknowledge that ongoing occupation and alleged genocide in Palestine are fundamental contributors to regional instability.
Araghchi emphasized that American politicians must acknowledge that the United States cannot assert its intention to restore regional stability while simultaneously launching attacks on Yemen and causing harm to innocent Yemeni civilians.
He remarked that the Yemeni people’s sole “offense” lies in their unwavering solidarity and support for the oppressed Palestinian populace.
Iran’s leading diplomat has openly criticized the United Nations Security Council for its inaction in response to what he described as clear violations of the UN Charter and international law by the United States and Israel.
He urged the United Nations to implement immediate and decisive actions to halt the breaches of legal standards and the disregard for international norms.
The United States and its allies have intensified their actions against Yemen following the country’s decision to resume anti-Israel operations amid ongoing concerns about the alleged genocide in Gaza.
Washington has announced its intention to employ overwhelming force in response to the Ansarallah resistance movement’s continued anti-Israel operations.
The United States and the United Kingdom, key supporters of Israel, have been conducting extensive airstrikes on Yemen in recent days. These operations have resulted in numerous casualties, predominantly women and children, as part of efforts to thwart Yemen’s military activities targeting Israel.
Grundberg praised Iran’s ongoing support for the United Nations’ efforts to advance the peace process in Yemen.
The United Nations envoy emphasized the pressing need for establishing stability and peace in Yemen, highlighting its significance not only for the Yemeni population but also for the security and stability of the broader region.
He emphasized the importance of the United Nations leveraging its full capabilities to reestablish peace and stability in Yemen.
In a meeting held earlier on Saturday, discussions took place between Grundberg and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi regarding the escalating crisis in Yemen.
Following a meeting, Takht Ravanchi took to his X account to denounce a military resolution to the Yemen crisis, urging the United States to cease its extensive assaults on the nation.
Yemeni media sources reported on Saturday that the United States is believed to have conducted 14 airstrikes on the outskirts of Sa’ada city, resulting in the death of one individual and injuring four others.
In the wake of recent U.S. military actions, over 40 sites throughout Yemen, including areas in the capital city of Sana’a, have been struck, resulting in damage to numerous residential buildings and commercial establishments.
