Iran Denounces US Airstrikes in Yemen as ‘War Crime’, Criticizes Global Inaction
The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, has issued a forceful condemnation of the lethal assaults carried out by the United States on locations within Yemen, highlighting incidents including an attack on a detention facility designated for African migrants.

A U.S. airstrike on Monday targeted a detention center for African migrants in Sa’ada province, resulting in the deaths of nearly 70 inmates and leaving over 50 others wounded, many in critical condition.
On Monday, Baghaei issued a statement condemning the ongoing US military assaults on civilian areas, crucial infrastructure, and residential homes across Yemen, which have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians. He characterized these actions as constituting a “war crime.”
Trump criticized the United Nations and human rights organizations for their silence and perceived indifference toward the United States’ actions, which he described as clear breaches of international law and repeated violations of Yemen’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Iranian spokesperson stated that the Israeli government persists in its destructive conflict in Palestine and its aggressive actions towards Lebanon.
Baghaei has alleged that the United States’ military actions in Yemen align with what he describes as an Israeli agenda to destabilize and weaken Muslim nations, thereby sowing insecurity throughout the West Asian region.
He stressed that Muslim nations collectively hold a historical duty to implement effective strategies to halt the violence against Yemen’s Muslim population and to avert the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.
