Iran Launches Retaliatory Strike on US Military Base in Qatar

Iranian armed forces have initiated a missile assault targeting American military installations in Qatar, in a retaliatory move following the prior day’s attack on Iranian nuclear facilities by US bombers.

In a statement issued after the successful completion of the retaliatory operation dubbed ‘Tidings of Victory,’ Iranian armed forces announced the action was in direct response to what they described as “blatant military aggression by the criminal regime of the United States” targeting the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities.

In a recent declaration, the actions of the United States were characterized as “a clear violation of international law.” The statement further detailed that, following directives from the Supreme National Security Council and the orders of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) executed a formidable and impactful missile attack on the Al Udeid base in Qatar, using the revered code “Ya Aba Abdillah al-Hussain.”

The facility operates as the central command hub for the US Air Force, acting as a critical strategic asset for the American military presence in the West Asia region.

A statement emphasized the resolute stance of the nation’s military forces, delivering an unequivocal message to the White House and its allies. The declaration underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains steadfast in its commitment to respond to any breach of its territorial integrity, sovereignty, or national security.

The statement emphasized that the aggression by American forces has revealed that what has been perceived as Zionist hostility is merely an extension of the United States’ broader strategic objectives. It highlighted the notion that in matters of national defense, American military installations and assets in the region are not fortresses of strength but rather significant vulnerabilities—an Achilles’ heel for a regime inclined towards conflict. The incident saw Iranian missiles targeting the US-managed al-Ubeid base.

On the eve of the month of Muharram, a period of mourning for Imam Aba Abdillah al-Hussain (AS), the armed forces issued a stern warning to the adversaries of Islamic Iran, declaring that the era of ‘hit and run’ has come to an end.

The statement emphasized that the resolute and people-supported armed forces are determined that any recurrence of hostile actions will accelerate the deterioration of America’s military influence in the region, prompt a humiliating withdrawal from West Asia, and realize the collective aspiration of the Islamic Ummah and freedom-seeking nations—to eliminate the malignant Zionist presence.

Facing potential defeat, the Israeli administration enlisted the assistance of the United States on Sunday to target three Iranian nuclear facilities located in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow. This action represents a serious breach of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

More than a week after Israel initiated an unprovoked attack on Iran, leading to the killing of numerous high-ranking military officials, scientists, and civilians, the United States launched a retaliatory assault.

Since June 13, Iranian military forces have launched strikes on key Israeli military, intelligence, and industrial locations within the occupied territories. In a related development, missiles originating from Iran have been observed over Qatar’s Lusail Stadium.

Iranian authorities had issued a stern warning that American hostilities would face repercussions. Before the incident, they also cautioned all neighboring nations against permitting their territories to be utilized by the United States for any aggressive actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a separate announcement, the Supreme National Security Council described Monday’s operation as a retaliation to what it termed the “brazen and aggressive act” perpetrated by the United States against Iran’s nuclear facilities. This operation was executed by the formidable armed forces of the Islamic Republic.

The report indicates that the quantity of missiles deployed in this successful operation equaled the number of bombs utilized by the United States in its strike on Iran’s nuclear installations.

The statement indicated that Iran’s skilled forces targeted a base situated at a distance from urban infrastructure and residential areas in Qatar, ensuring there was no threat posed to the nation.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has affirmed its commitment to sustaining and advancing its longstanding and cordial ties with Qatar, according to a statement.

In preparation for the operation scheduled for Monday evening, Qatari officials mandated the closure of the nation’s airspace, while the United States embassy in Doha proceeded with the evacuation of its personnel.
