Pezeshkian says US and ‘israel’ Fomenting Division Among Muslim Nations in Message to Bin Salman

Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed concerns, suggesting that the United States and the Israeli regime are intent on creating discord among Muslim nations, countering Iran’s endeavors to foster regional unity.

Trump made these remarks during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday.

The Iranian president has asserted that the United States and the Zionist regime are attempting to sow divisions among Muslim nations, while Iran remains committed to fostering regional unity and peace, according to a statement released by his office.

The comments address the efforts by Washington and Tel Aviv to hinder regional collaboration on common interests, including backing Palestinian rights, ensuring regional stability, and achieving freedom from foreign interference.

The telephone conversation occurred following a 12-day Israeli offensive against Iran, supported by the United States, leading to the deaths of more than 600 Iranians. The casualties included high-ranking military officials, nuclear scientists, and civilians.

Pezeshkian affirmed that Tehran is committed to upholding its “rightful entitlements” within any diplomatic engagements addressing the issue. He noted that, had there been any prospects of victory, agreeing to a ceasefire would have been unlikely. Iranian voices have shared their perspectives regarding the ceasefire between Iran and the Israeli regime.

The Islamic Republic has consistently maintained its stance on advancing its peaceful nuclear energy program and legitimate defense initiatives during indirect discussions with the United States.

Iran expressed its openness to receiving assistance from friendly and allied nations, emphasizing a welcoming stance towards positive contributions in fostering diplomatic engagements, the president stated.

Bin Salman asserted that Saudi Arabia has consistently denounced the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression towards Iran “from the outset.”

The Saudi leader highlighted Riyadh’s official condemnation of Israel’s purported unprovoked and unlawful aggression against the Islamic Republic earlier this month.

Bin Salman announced that comprehensive diplomatic discussions have been conducted with multiple nations to exert pressure on Israel and achieve a cessation of its attacks.

The crown prince emphasized that Muslim nations in the region would not act as a staging ground for assaults on Iran, nor would they permit the use of American military bases on their territory for any acts of aggression.

He noted, “We acknowledge your motives for reacting to the US’s assaults,” in reference to the Islamic Republic’s retaliatory military action aimed at an American base in Qatar on Monday, following US bombers’ strikes on three Iranian peaceful nuclear facilities.
