Iranian Military Poised to Vigorously Defend National Borders, Says Commander
Iran's Army Chief, Major General Amir Hatami, has affirmed that the nation's armed forces are thoroughly prepared to safeguard the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity from any acts of aggression.
Hatami made these comments during a meeting on Thursday with the family of Colonel Mohammad Alizadeh, a high-ranking officer in the Air Defense Force, who lost his life during the recent 12-day hostilities involving the Israeli regime and the United States against the Islamic Republic.
He stated that the adversaries of Islamic Iran observed the unyielding unity between the great Iranian nation and its Armed Forces, showcasing a solidarity stronger than ever, and resolutely maintaining their commitment to their sacred ideals and objectives.
Under the astute direction of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the figurehead of the Islamic Revolution, the Armed Forces have once more demonstrated their preparedness to respond decisively to adversaries, he noted.
Hatami highlighted that the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force personnel have consistently stood their ground against the military might and weaponry of aggressive adversaries. He noted their success in emerging both proud and victorious in the recent conflict involving Israeli and US forces.
On June 13, Israel reportedly carried out a significant operation targeting Iran, resulting in the deaths of numerous senior military officials, nuclear scientists, and civilians. The action has been widely criticized as an aggressive maneuver.
Over a week had passed when the United States launched airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, marking a serious breach of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic locations within the occupied territories and the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, recognized as the largest American military installation in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran effectively executed retaliatory operations against both Israel and the United States, resulting in the suspension of the unlawful attack.
