Air Defense Systems Activated at US Ain al-Asad Base

American forces stationed at the Ain al-Asad airbase in western Iraq have suddenly engaged their air defense systems in response to fears of possible missile attacks, as reported by Iraqi security sources.

A reliable Iraqi security source has verified the unexpected activation of air defense systems at a United States military base located in Iraq.

Mehr News Agency, drawing information from Al-Maalomah, reported that a security source in Al-Anbar Province revealed that US forces have unexpectedly initiated the air defense systems at the Ain al-Asad base in the western region of the province.

According to the source, this redeployment by U.S. forces was prompted by concerns over possible missile strikes.

US forces have reportedly enhanced security measures by increasing the number of watchtowers surrounding the Ain al-Asad base, while also imposing tighter restrictions on military movements within the facility.

Recent reports indicate a notable influx of American aircraft transitioning from Syria to Iraq. For the first time, Patriot missile systems and other sophisticated defense platforms have been stationed at the Ain al-Asad base, as per the source’s revelations.
