In spite of stringent measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities, tens of thousands of Palestinian faithful attended prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque on the second Friday of Ramadan.

The Islamic Waqf has reported that approximately 80,000 worshippers gathered for the midday prayer in the occupied city of Al-Quds.

Occupation authorities have imposed restrictions on access to a city for Friday prayers, permitting entry only to Palestinian males aged 55 and older, women aged 50 and above, and children 12 and under. This measure effectively restricts the majority of Palestinians from accessing the site.

A large number of attendees at the second Friday prayer of Ramadan were Palestinians from the occupied territories, following the imposition of restrictions by the military on the number of permits granted to worshippers journeying from the West Bank to Islam’s third holiest site.

Israel has announced new travel regulations, permitting entry for Palestinian males aged 55 and above, women who are at least 50 years old, and children aged 12 and under. Further details can be accessed via the provided link.
