Anti-war activists from all around Los Angeles gathered in Hollywood to protest America’s continuing involvement in the Middle East.
The protesters closed several streets to rally the anti-war support.

Protesters are gathering outside the CNN building in Hollywood. They say the U.S mainstream media has been telling lies about what’s really happening in the Middle East.”
Organizers say media outlets like CNN lead people to believe that the U.S. military is pulling out of countries like Iraq and Afghanistan.

Protesters say with the presidential election coming up next year, they’re concerned about further warmongering in the Middle East.
They say U.S. politicians are knowingly spreading lies about countries like Iran and Syria in order to boost their political agendas.

Activist Johnny Achi says the U.S. military involvement continues to damage Syria. He says America’s funding of weapons causes turmoil and costs innocent lives.

Protesters set off on march through Hollywood to rally further support. The protest coincided with actions in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Organizers say each year, more people are joining the anti-war movement.

Protesters are also demanding that President Barack Obama stop his request for Congressional Authorization for Use of Military Force in the Middle East and perhaps beyond.
