Araghchi Accuses US of Complicity in Israeli Attacks, Calls for Accountability
The Iranian Foreign Minister has called for the United States to acknowledge its role in Israel's lethal aggression, citing substantial evidence that suggests American forces aided in the regime's alleged terrorist attack.

Abbas Araghchi informed foreign envoys in Tehran on Sunday that there is substantial evidence suggesting American forces and bases in the region have provided support for the military attacks carried out by the Israeli regime.
He also mentioned comments by Trump, who stated that the Israeli strikes would not have been feasible without American equipment and hinted that further raids were planned.
Araghchi stated that, from their perspective, the United States is complicit in these attacks and must acknowledge its responsibility. He also noted that their retaliatory actions have been directed towards targets within what he referred to as the Zionist regime.
He stated that the Israeli actions against Iran likely proceeded with the endorsement and backing of the United States.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister expressed that Israel has “crossed a new red line” under international law by allegedly targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities.
In a remark expressing disappointment, he highlighted that the grave Israeli violation was greeted with “indifference” by the United Nations Security Council.
Araghchi reiterated that Iran’s reaction to Israeli assaults adheres to the international principle of self-defense, affirming that all nations possess the legitimate right to protect themselves from acts of aggression.
He further announced that the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is set to convene an emergency meeting on Monday to address the Israeli assault on the Natanz nuclear facility. He expressed optimism that the board will denounce the incident as a blatant breach of international law.
In a recent statement, the foreign minister emphasized that Iran seeks to prevent the conflict with Israel from escalating into a broader regional war, asserting that such expansion would only occur if they are compelled to respond.
The individual stated that their nation did not initiate the conflict, emphasizing that they were engaged in diplomatic efforts concerning their nuclear program. They characterized the aggression as having been imposed upon them and asserted that their efforts are purely defensive and justified. Furthermore, they mentioned that if the acts of aggression cease, their responsive actions would consequently halt as well.
In his remarks, Araghchi emphasized the ongoing indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States, while also pointing out Israel’s interference in the diplomatic proceedings.
He emphasized that the Israeli regime clearly opposes reaching any agreement on the nuclear matter. The recent acts of aggression against Iran during the nuclear negotiations underscore their resistance to any form of dialogue.
The US government ought to officially denounce Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities to demonstrate its goodwill and distance itself from the ongoing conflict, he concluded.
