Syria: Gov’t Forces Score More Victories against Terrorists in Lattakia

The Syrian Army and National Defense Forces (NDF) continued to push the militant groups back from more lands in the Northeastern part of Lattakia province on Monday and freed six villages in a several-hour battle.

The Syrian government forces stormed defense lines of the Takfiri terrorists near the villages of Beit al-Aous, Ard al-Wata, Hakoura al-Tahtaniyeh, Ruweisat al-Malek, Ruweisat al-Maqnas, Dahr Abu Asaad and a number of strategic heights and forces their to retreat from their position.

Then, the army engineering units combed the newly-gained territories and defused a number of bombs and other kinds of explosive devices planted by the militants across the battlefields.

The militant groups suffered a heavy death toll and their military hardware sustained major damage in the army operations.

A numbers of the militants fled the battlefield toward Lattakia border with Turkey to find safer shelters.

Also on Saturday, the Syrian army and popular forces pushed the militant groups back from more territories in the Northern part of Lattakia province and took back several villages and heights near the border with Turkey.

The Syrian army and the NDF stormed the militant groups positions in the mountainous region of the coastal province of Lattakia and imposed full control over the villages of Hamrat, al-Deirouneh, Nahashba and Mahshaba, Ruweisat al-Kitf, Ruweisat Taloukshi and Ruweisat Wata al-Sindianeh and a number of strategic heights.

The militant groups left behind a number of dead and wounded members and fled the battlefields.
