Ashton: Iran ready for talk with European Union

European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton declared on Friday that Iran has positively answered her message concerning negotiations about nuclear program from November 10, 2010.

In a press conference in European Parliament, Ashton declared that Saeed Jalili had sent a message to her in this concern through Iran’s ambassador to European Union.

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili in his message had expressed pleasure with Ashton contact and had declared Iran’s readiness to begin negotiation from November 10 and had called for fixing time and venue of talks.
Ashton called the step very important to begin negotiation about Iran’s nuclear program and noted that she would contact Tehran to reach an agreement on the venue and time of talks.
Last week, Ashton sent a letter and asked Iran to return to talk table on nuclear program.
Ashton proposed in the letter that negotiation take 3 days and start from November 15.
