Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) launched their imperative operation to liberate the Islamic State (ISIS) stronghold of Albukamal from their positions near the city of Al-Mayadeen.
Led by the Taha Group of the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army attacked the Islamic State’s positions east of Al-Mayadeen this afternoon.
According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army began the offensive by firing several mortar shells and missiles towards the Islamic State’s defenses east of Al-Mayadeen.
The source added that the Syrian Army is expected to make a big advance towards Albukamal, today, while their allies from the 4th Division, Hezbollah, and IRGC make a push from the T-2 Pumping Station axis.
