Latest map update of East Ghouta after Harasta declared under Syrian Army control

It has been a long road for the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the East Ghouta; however, this battle is finally nearing its end, following the complete surrender of the militants in two of this region’s three pockets.

The first pocket to be cleared was at the Harasta front, where the remaining militants were finally transported out of the suburb via government buses.

According to a field correspondent in Damascus, the last militants in Harasta were transported tonight after a final inspection of the buses by the Syrian Arab Army.

With Harasta cleared, the government will begin the process of transporting the remaining militants in Zamalka, ‘Ayn Tarma, Jobar, and ‘Arbeen.

Once those suburbs are cleared, the Syrian Army will be in control of every town in the East Ghouta, except for Douma.
