Three killed in army helicopter crash in northern Tehran

Three people died in a helicopter crash in Darband region in northern Tehran on Thursday, Iranian authorities said.

“Two hours ago, a helicopter crashed near Imamzadeh Ebrahim (Pas Qale’) and the Red Crescent forces were sent to the crash site,” Governor of the northern region of Shemiranat, Ezzatollah Khanmohammadi told FNA today.
“Based on the primary information, the helicopter belonged to the Air Force and had three crew members and all of them were killed in the incident,” he added.
According to Khanmohammadi, investigations are underway into the cause of the helicopter crash.
