Enemies afraid of nearing Iran’s airspace: Commander

The capabilities of the Iranian Air Defense have made the enemies fearful of approaching the country’s airspace, a ranking general said.

According to Tasnim news agency, in comments after visiting a military base in northwest Iran on Tuesday, Commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard said the enemies are afraid of even approaching the Iranian airspace, let alone violating it.

The adversaries are well aware of the complete protection of the Iranian airspace and the air defense forces’ readiness to confront any violation of the aerial borders, he added.

In remarks in July 2021, the commander said the significant advances that Iran has made in the air defense industry has turned the country into one of the world’s top powers with the capability to detect every aerial object in its airspace and even outside the borders.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
