Hamas asserts that resistance is the only way towards the liberation

On the 65th anniversary of the passing of UN Resolution No. 181, which stipulates the partition of Palestine between the indigenous population and the newly arrived colonizers, Hamas renewed its rejection of the resolution.

The bureau for Refugees’ affairs in Hamas said that “this unjust decision against the Palestinian people is considered void. The Palestinian people do not recognize this resolution and do not recognize the legitimacy of the Israeli occupation in the Palestinian historical land.”

It stressed in a statement on Thursday on the right of return for the Palestinian refugees to their properties, lands and villages from which they had been displaced during the Nakba in 1948.

The Bureau also asserted that the Palestinian people, even after over six decades, still adhere to all their inalienable rights and that they would not accept any concessions, in favor of the occupation.”

It stressed “that the only way to liberate Palestine and to restore all the usurped rights is through resistance, pointing to the victories achieved by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip; including defeating the occupation in 2005, the victory in the Furqan War of 2009, the Wafa al-Ahrar prisoners exchange deal in 2011 and the recent victory of the Shale Stones Battle in 2012.
