Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Thursday that the Iranian nuclear negotiating team moved in line with the country’s national interests, adding that those who cry out against the move had political intentions.

Majlis approval on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) indicated that the measures taken by the Iranian negotiators were in line with the country’s national interests and those who lodged complaints had political motives, the Expediency Council chairman said.

Rafsanjnai made the remarks in the closing ceremony of the gathering of Iranian ambassadors to foreign countries and envoys to international organizations on Thursday in Tehran.

All those who serve the Iranian nation outside the country and protect the country’s interests truly feel that the international community is now changing to the favor of Iran, he said.

President Rouhani appointed a group of experienced and high qualified team to attend (JCPOA) talks; he said adding that the team could successfully conclude the case in an intensive talk with G5+1.

Six big countries such as the US and European countries tried to persuade us but they themselves were persuaded, he said.

The grave achievement of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team has been registered in history for ever, Rafsanjani said.

The world understood that the Islamic Republic of Iran is looking for constructive interaction with the international community, said the chairman of the expediency council.
