Hezbollah, OIC slam Israel for killing four Palestinians at Jenin camp

The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement has slammed the fatal shooting of four young Palestinian men by the Israeli army at the Jenin refugee camp in the north of the occupied West Bank, reassuring the Palestinians that they will eventually emerge victorious in their struggle against the Tel Aviv regime.

Hezbollah, in a statement published on Monday, praised the heroic resistance of Palestinians when Israeli troops raided the refugee camp early on Monday.

The statement said the Palestinian resistance front will ultimately emerge triumphant, and will attain the Palestinian nation’s primary goal which is liberation from the Israeli occupation.

At least four Palestinian men were shot dead early on Monday during confrontations with the Israeli army in the Jenin refugee camp.

Saleh Mohammed Ammar, 19, and Raed Ziad Abu Seif, 21, were shot and died from their wounds shortly after arriving at the Jenin city hospital, according to an unnamed Palestinian medical source.

The bodies of the two other men, one identified as Noor Jarrar and the other as Amjad Iyad Azmi, were taken by Israeli forces.

OIC condemns Israel’s killings in Jenin camp

Furthermore, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned in a statement the Israeli army killing of the Palestinians.

The OIC slammed the heinous crime committed by the occupying Israeli regime as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and conventions.

The organization held Israel fully responsible for the consequences of such an escalatory move, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.

The OIC urged the international community to compel Israel to stop its violations and ongoing attacks against Palestinians and to respect its obligations under international law.

Al-Quds Brigades: Resistance rooted in every inch of Palestine, cannot be thwarted

Meanwhile, Abu Hamza, spokesman for the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement, hailed the Palestinians for their resistance in the occupied West Bank, especially at Jenin refugee camp.

“What happed at Jenin camp is a convincing proof that the notion of resistance is anchored in every inch of the Palestinian territories and cannot be obliterated,” he said. “Resistance will continue across Palestinian lands as long as the Israeli occupation persists, and Palestinian people as well as Palestinian territories are not free.

Similarly, senior Palestinian official Hussein Al Sheikh slammed Israel the “a heinous crime” and tweeted “the international community should be ashamed of its silence about this and its failure to provide protection to the Palestinian people from this oppression.”

The northern occupied West Bank towns, mainly in Jenin and Beita, have been the scene of numerous clashes between Israeli military forces and Palestinian protesters in recent weeks.

During the raid, at least two other Palestinians were also arrested. One was shot in the hand and the other, identified as Mohammed Abu Zina, was taken from his home during the raid.

Witnesses said a group of Palestinians engaged in clashes with members from the Israeli police’s Musta’ribeen — an undercover unit disguised as Palestinians.

According to Palestinian Maan news agency, the Musta’ribeen agents opened fire “directly on a large group of young men” just as Israeli troops raided the camp.

Stun grenades and tear gas were also fired at Palestinians, witnesses said.
