Houthi Leader Claims Strike on US Aircraft Carrier Prevented Significant American Offensive in Yemen

Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddine Al-Houthi, the leader of the Ansarullah Movement, has announced that Yemen is sustaining its operations and initiatives within the framework of the Promised Victory Battle and Sacred Jihad.

This week saw a series of military operations involving the deployment of 29 ballistic and cruise missiles, alongside the use of drones, according to a statement delivered by Sayyed Houthi on Thursday.

According to reports, our military operations have focused on strategic locations within the southern and deeper regions of territories identified as occupied Palestine. These operations have encompassed areas such as Jaffa, Ashkelon, and Umm Al-Rashrash, as well as an air base reportedly utilized by Israeli forces in the Negev Desert. Additionally, maritime targets were included in these operations, as stated by the official.

Sayyed Houthi announced that a significant naval operation involved targeting the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea. Following the incident, the vessel reportedly retreated hundreds of miles.

Following the withdrawal of a U.S. aircraft carrier from the Red Sea, adversarial forces have refrained from entering the area, with no carriers making an appearance in the region since that event, he emphasized.

The American aircraft carrier is currently maneuvering through strategic waters, transitioning from the Gulf to the Gulf of Oman, the fringes of the Indian Ocean, or the Arabian Sea. These movements are undertaken with heightened precaution and stealth. In certain situations, the carrier edges closer to African coastlines as a protective measure to mitigate potential threats.

Sayyed Houthi reported that the American aircraft carrier “Lincoln” withdrew several hundred miles into the Arabian Sea after being targeted.

“In addition to the strike on the aircraft carrier stationed in the Arabian Sea, two U.S. warships have also come under attack in the Red Sea.”

Sayyed Houthi revealed that the maritime operation took place amid American preparations for a large-scale aerial offensive against the nation, marking the most significant such campaign since the United States announced its backing of Israel.

An American-led operation did not achieve the desired outcome, forcing the forces onto a defensive position, while their aircraft carrier was withdrawn several hundred miles.

Sayyed Houthi reaffirmed that operations would persist as the “Israeli” forces maintain their aggression towards Gaza and the Lebanese populace, buoyed by American backing.
