Terrorist groups continued to target government forces’ bases and residential areas in Aleppo province and the city’s International Airport, breaching the recently-brokered nationwide ceasefire.

Terrorist groups targeted eight times the areas surrounding the Aleppo International Airport by Grad missiles, delaying flights, including that of three French envoy from Aleppo to Damascus.

The terrorists also hit the areas in the Central part of the city and Seryan neighborhood by Grad missile.

News sites affiliated to the terrorist groups linked the attacks to Jeish al-Sham.

Syrian Army’s missile and artillery units, for their part, pounded terrorist centers West of Aleppo city and in areas surrounding Khan Touman in a retaliatory move against terrorists’ attacks.

Also, terrorist groups targeted Syrian army troops’ positions Southwest of Aleppo city last week.

Terrorists’ missile units hit the army positions in the Air Defense Battalion regardless of the ceasefire.

The army soldiers in a retaliatory move opened fire at terrorists’ bases in the districts of al-Rashedeen 4 and 5 and Rahbat al-Madra’at South of Aleppo city.

A nationwide ceasefire between Syrian government troops and several militant groups came into force at midnight local time on Friday (22:00 GMT December 29).
