Idlib: US, NATO Weapons Found in Terrorists’ Underground Base

The Syrian Army during its mop-up operations discovered terrorists’ underground base packed with US- and NATO-based weapons and missiles in Southern Idlib, the Arabic-language media outlets said.

The Arabic-language Sputnik news agency quoted a Syrian military source as saying that the Syrian Army troops discovered an underground military network of bases in al-Latameneh region which contained a main base for the deployment of about 5,000 terrorists.

It pointed to the terrorists’ attempts to launch attacks on the Syrian Army over the past four years by using foreign military equipment, and said that the government forces discovered US-made missiles, weapons and rifles made in NATO member countries.

The Syrian military sources also said that the Syrian Army also discovered a workshop used for manufacturing drones and also found several drones equipped with bombs for attacking the Syrian Army’s military units.

In a relevant development last Friday, the Syrian Army troops found one of the biggest and most equipped military bases of the White Helmet terrorists in Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib, the Arabic-language media outlets said.

The Arabic-language channel of Russia Today quoted a Syrian Army commander Abdolkarim Mayhob as saying that the Syrian Army troops found a very equipped and engineered underground base used by White Helmets to achieve their military goals.

Mahyoub also reiterated that the military base was not only considered for stationing 3,500 terrorists, but it was also equipped with studios that White Helmets used to make false-flag videos on alleged chemical attacks on Syrian citizens by the Syrian Army.

He also said that the Syrian Army troops also discovered different kinds of weapons, military equipment, helmets and gas masks as well as military uniforms from the base.
