Intl. Quds Day marked in Washington, Cape Town

Muslims in Cape Town have marked International Quds Day by aligning their own struggle for land rights with that of the Palestinian people. The communities say new efforts to erase the Muslim identity of a part of Cape Town resemble Israel’s moves to Judaize Jerusalem al-Quds.

Participants from around the US capital participated in the annual observance of the International Quds Day in the city’s downtown area. There were speeches, songs and poems demonstrating unity with the plight of Palestinians.
