‘Western media after undermining Imam Khomeini’s character’

The representative of Supreme Leader in Markazi province added that the Western media, especially the BBC, has not hesitated to desecrate and insult the sanctity of Imam Khomeini and the media have long been looking for an excuse to undermine the Imam’s character.

Referring to claims that the Jimmy Carter administration had extensive contacts with Imam Khomeini just weeks ahead of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian politician said: “For this reason, it was recently claimed the Imam spoke and negotiated with the president of the United States,” he said.

Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi noted that the People’s Mujahedin of Iran [MKO] conference which held in the French capital, Paris, in July was attended by a number of Arab figures, including Saudi Prince Turki al-Faisal and said that their “childish and wrong behaviour” only aids the enemies.

“In such circumstances, where on the one hand, members of the Al Saud met with the blind hypocrites [MKO] and on another hand, the Zionists and the criminal Mahmoud Abbas met with the head of hypocrites [Maryam Rajavi] that which Turki al-Faisal and others planned in France is nothing but betrayal,” he said, referring to his 30-minute address at the MKO gathering.

He also warned the internal enemies against assisting the foreign enemies by questioning all the efforts of the late Imam, the martyrs and those who sacrificed themselves for Islamic Revolution.

The Friday prayer leader of Arak emphasized that Imam Khomeini will be loved until the end and nothing from the greatness of his character will be depreciated and added that all the insults against the Imam from among the Iranian nation, the Muslim world, the imperial powers of the world, Israel, the United States, the MKO, the Al Saud and the deviant cults, will not reduce the luminosity of Imam Khomeini.

Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi added that the West and Western media will never be compassionate towards Iran so we must be vigilant as these forces are the West’s rear guard and assist the enemies in achieving their goals.
