President Pezeshkian reaffirms commitment, honoring Hezbollah heroes in a tribute ceremony

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has lauded Hezbollah leaders Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, hailing them as heroes dedicated to their oath. In doing so, he emphasized Iran's steadfast commitment to the principles they espouse.

In a statement shared on platform X on Sunday, just hours before the official funeral ceremony for the late Hezbollah leaders in Beirut, he offered his remarks.

In a recent message, a prominent figure expressed his unwavering admiration for the Lebanese people, emphasizing the valor and dedication of two notable leaders. He commended their steadfast commitment and ultimate sacrifice in defense of their nation’s honor, noting that they upheld their promise until their martyrdom in the name of God. He reaffirmed his own dedication to upholding these values, underscoring the enduring commitment to their cause.

In a significant development in September 2024, Israel conducted an airstrike utilizing U.S.-supplied bunker-busting munitions that resulted in the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, the long-standing leader of Hezbollah, in southern Beirut.

In the subsequent month, the ruling authorities carried out an assassination of Hashem Safieddine, the head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, in an attack targeting a suburb of Beirut, according to reports.

Hezbollah has delayed the funeral proceedings for two of its leaders, citing potential Israeli military action as the reason for this precautionary measure.

Qalibaf Announces Expulsion of Enemy Forces from Lebanon

On Sunday, Iran’s Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that Israel had made bold claims about plans to capture southern Lebanon, launch assaults, and bring about the country’s devastation.

Upon his arrival in Beirut to participate in the ceremony, Qalibaf expressed his satisfaction, stating, “I am pleased that our visit coincides with the return of the people of Gaza to their homeland.”

“The Zionist regime has been forced to retreat from southern Lebanon, leading to the restoration of security in the region, according to reports.”

Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, described the recent funeral as a pivotal moment for the Islamic community or Ummah.

Earlier today, Qalibaf conveyed optimism that the funeral procession would mark a pivotal moment for the strength of the resistance front, the Islamic Ummah, and the people of Lebanon.

Prior to his departure from Tehran en route to Beirut, he described Nasrallah as a revered and unifying leader within the Muslim community, highlighting his significant role in opposing what he termed as Israeli aggression.

He referenced his visit to Beirut four months prior, set against the backdrop of alleged Israeli offenses and the steadfastness demonstrated by the Lebanese and Palestinian communities, alongside the resistance efforts of Hezbollah and Hamas.

Lebanon endured significant setbacks, including the loss of Nasrallah, described as a martyr. However, authorities have successfully reestablished security and stability across the nation. In parallel, the Israeli regime has faced a considerable diminishment in its standing, according to reports.

Iranian Foreign Minister Asserts Continued Vitality of Hezbollah and Resistance Movement

In a diplomatic gesture, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has arrived in Lebanon to represent the Iranian government and people at a funeral ceremony.

Upon his arrival at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, he told reporters that the overarching message conveyed by today’s funeral is that the resistance remains active and vibrant.

Hezbollah remains committed to its principles and is resolute in continuing its course of resistance, expressing confidence that, with divine favor, ultimate success will be attained.

**Nasrallah Unveils New Resistance Strategy**

On Sunday, the IRNA news agency released a special tribute penned by Araghchi to honor the fallen leaders of Hezbollah.

In a statement issued today, a figure within the resistance movement asserted that adversaries might believe the path of resistance has ended with the potential loss of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. However, they emphasized that this perspective is a significant miscalculation in accurately assessing the situation.

Hassan Nasrallah transcends the conventional roles of a military commander or politician, emerging as a strategic visionary who redefined the paradigm of resistance. His approach evolved from mere military tactics into a comprehensive intellectual, social, and political framework. His enduring legacy is found not only on the battlefield but also in his foresight and vision for the future of resistance and regional sovereignty.
