Iran Navy Gives Warning to US Submarine in Strait of Hormuz

The commander of Iran's Army Navy has declared that their naval forces issued a warning to a U.S. nuclear submarine in the Strait of Hormuz.

On Thursday, Admiral Shahram Irani, the commander of the Iranian Army Navy, spoke to the national Iranian TV and revealed that Iran’s Fateh submarine had spotted, identified, and intercepted an approaching submarine near the Strait of Hormuz. The submarine had been traveling in complete silence underwater, but was forced to the surface with destructive maneuvers and had to cross the Strait while remaining above water.

Admiral Iran stated that this submarine had ventured toward Iranian waters, but “with the required caution and accompaniment, it altered its course and proceeded onward.”

The Commander of the Navy stated that a “modern nuclear submarine called Florida” had breached Iranian territorial waters, in contravention of international law.

The US submarine’s action was deemed unprofessional and hazardous by the Army Navy commander, who declared that Iran would surely report it to the relevant international organizations to make Washington answerable for infringing Iran’s domain in the Strait of Hormuz.
