The Yemeni army and the popular forces fired several missiles at a strategic airport in Southern Saudi Arabia.
“Massive explosions were heard from Najran Airport today,” informed sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said that the Yemeni forces pounded Najran Airport with a number of missiles.

The attack came as Najran region is the scene of heavy clashes between Yemeni tribal forces and pro-Saudi militias.

Najran Airport is located 10 kilometers from the city center.

Earlier today, Yemen’s Ansarullah revolutionary movement said it is now focused on capturing three strategic provinces of Saudi Arabia in the Southern parts of that country.

The strategy of Ansarullah is now to take control of Jizan, Najran and Asir provinces in Southern Saudi Arabia.

The three provinces were part of Yemen before they were occupied by the Saudi kingdom in 1934.

Under such conditions, Saudi Arabia is well-aware that it has no option other than halting its aggression because the people of Yemen do not have anything to lose, but the Riyadh government should pay heavy political and military prices if the war is prolonged, experts say.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 154 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 5,529 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
