Grand Ayatollah Taskhiri calls Libyans to Islamic unity

Early after the topple of Libyan dictator, senior Iranian cleric met with a group of Libyan scholars and referred to the positive outcomes of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with a group of Libyan scholars praising Iranian nation for their stamina against the enemies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the positive outcomes of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and said, “Iranian nation liberated from the colonial powers and beat the world powers with its resistance; hence, it was dubbed “An Island of Stability” by the US.”

He said,” Late Imam Khomeini (RA) could foil plots and colonial ambitions of the enemies.” and added the determination of the Iranian nation and their multimillion demonstrations beat the enemies.

“The US had many plots for Iran’s Revolution hence for more than ۲۰ years it has imposed political, economical and military sanctions against Iran.” said the cleric adding, “US, in line with its desperate efforts, launched Al-Qaeda terrorist group and started some terrorist attacks against Islamic countries.”

Cultural advisor to The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei referred to the military aids provided for Iraq during the imposed war against Iran and said, “Iranian nation achieved victory with their eight-year resistance.” and counted Ismalization of all departments as another achievement of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Ayatollah Taskhiri congratulated the recent victory of the Libyan nation and said, “Libyan nation managed to topple a regime that had imposed a ۴۰-year-long silence on the Libyan nation.” and called the Libyan visitors to boost Islamic unity.

He also referred to the objectives of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and said the Forum carries out a part of the aims of Islamic Republic of Iran for stabilization of Islamic unity while the previous regime was a supporter for realization of the aims of the Zionist regime whose embassy in Iran turned into the Embassy of Palestine.
