Sayyed Nasrallah: Resistance is the only way to confront the Israeli regime

375435_Hezbollah-NasrallahPalestinian resistance is the only way to confront the Israeli regime, says Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah.

On Friday, the chief of the Lebanese resistance movement hailed Palestinians of the besieged Gaza Strip for the resistance against Tel Aviv.

Nasrallah made the remarks on the eighth anniversary of the end of Israel’s war on Lebanon in 2006.

He also condemned atrocities by ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Iraq and Syria, noting the presence of Takfirism in the Middle East was meant to disintegrate regional countries and lead them to demise.

The Hezbollah chief referred to Iraq, which has been a scene of violence after Takfiris raided the country in early June.

Nasrallah said “no international community intervened” in Iraq at the time and US President Barack Obama’s “humanitarian feelings weren’t shaken,” while the so-called ISIL was committing “massacres” there.

“So should we rely on them? We the Iraqis or the Lebanese or the Jordanians or the Palestinians or the Syrians; should we rely on such a West?”
Israeli warplanes have been carrying out incessant airstrikes on the blockaded Gaza Strip since July 8.

More than 1,960 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have lost their lives and at least 10,100 have been injured despite pressure from the international community on the Tel Aviv regime to end the military aggression.

On Wednesday, truce was extended for five more days in the besieged sliver as Israeli and Palestinian negotiators continued talks to reach a long-term deal in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

Moreover, nearly 400,000 Palestinian children are in immediate need of psychological help due to “catastrophic and tragic impact” of the Israeli war, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
