Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei: Enemy domination in Muslim Lands Requires ‘jihad’

Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted that jihad becomes a responsibility for all when hostility dominates Muslim lands.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks at a meeting with a gathering of Iranian officials as well as ambassadors of Islamic states Monday morning on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

“Today, fight against the Zionist regime is obligatory for the Muslim world,” emphasized the Iranian Leader.

He stressed the necessity of unity among Islamic countries saying “Muslim states will suffer loss from discord and benefit from unity.”

Seyyed Ali Khamenei, while noting that Palestine remains the top issue in the Islamic World, emphasized “concerning the Islamic jurisprudence, when enemies invade one Muslim land, jihad, in all possible forms, will be a duty for all.”

The Leader expressed wonder why some would escape the responsibility of combatting the Zionist Regime even though the task is absolutely imperative and necessary for the Muslim world.

He said enemies cling on racial, religious and territorial excused to cause disunity and dispute among countries adding “one instance is the support of one American senator who favored the Sunni community over Shias while the US is opposed to the idea of Islam and all Islamic states; a measure which is mere conspiracy and required care and concern though, unfortunately, some Muslim leaders neglect these hostilities.”
Iran’s Leader touched upon bloody conflicts in various Islamic lands like Yemen, Syria, Iraq and North Africa asserting that “discord and differences harm Islam and Islamic nations while, on the other hand, uniformity of Islamic countries can benefit them all.”
Leader of Islamic Revolution pointed to massive turnout of Iranian people at Quds Day rallies in support of Palestinians as one honorable instance of Islamic unity; “on such a day, fasting Shias sympathize with the oppressed people of Palestine who are Sunnis.”
Warning against neglect of the Palestinian issue, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that the issue of Palestine marks the most significant topic in the Islamic world though some states are seeking to marginalize the matter.
“The Islamic world requires unity and coalition, and Muslim nations are often sympathetic to each other and only governments need to fulfill their duties,” he underlined.
