Iran's naval war games enter their last day
Islamic Republic of Iran Army Navy’s Commander, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, has reported on the implementation of operations of Iran Army’s Navy on the last day of naval maneuvers codenamed: “Velayat 91”.

According to IRIB World Service, citing IRNA, speaking on Wednesday, the naval commander pointed out that in these operations, the forces of special units return to their locations of deployment prior to the start of these war games; and only units which should remain at their maritime regions of their mission, continue their duties in these regions.
The “Jamaran” Destroyer, and “Bushehr” Warship; the 23rd flotilla of Iran Army’s Navy, which are present in high seas for provision of security of Iran’s naval lines and protection of Iran’s commercial ships and oil tankers, are some of the units that continue their presence in their determined sites of mission.
Iran Army naval commander also noted that these naval war games manifest and test the capacity and equipment of Iran’s Navy and convey the message of peace and amity to regional countries. He pointed out that the goal behind holding this war game is to show the capacity of Iran Army’s Navy for establishment of security, especially in the Strait of Hormoz, The Sea of Oman, and North of the Indian Ocean.
