Iran’s Top Military Official Criticizes US Proposal for Gaza
The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, criticized the U.S. president's proposal for relocating Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, labeling the plan as unfeasible.

During a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in Tehran on Saturday, a senior Iranian military official dismissed US President Donald Trump’s proposed relocation plan for residents of Gaza. The general characterized the plan as “unworkable” and criticized it as being based on hyperbolic comments.
The commander asserted that the current occupants of Palestine must vacate the area, emphasizing that the Palestinian people have deep historical ties to their land and intend to stay in their rightful territory.
In addressing inquiries related to the Trump administration’s stance on Iran, Major General Baqeri stated that adversaries have consistently employed a strategy of maximum pressure against the nation for an extended period.
He affirmed that the Iranian populace remains steadfast despite the imposition of a wide range of sanctions by adversarial forces.
In remarks about the state of the Lebanese Hezbollah, the general asserted that the organization’s young recruits are poised to strengthen significantly.
