Iraqi group criticizes US for waging economic war on Iran

The United States’ threatening and pressuring Iran shows the new idiocy in the region, a member of the political office of the Iraqi al- Kataeb movement, affiliated to Hashd al-Shabi, Jassim Al-Jazairi told IRNA on Saturday.

‘The recent pressures and moves of the US against Iran shows their confusion and idiocy,’ he said in an interview with IRNA. 

‘They have not learned from their past experiences and history, and think or believe that the Islamic Republic is a low-hanging fruit.’

‘The conditions will be in the interests of Iran because not only does Iran have national solidarity, but all the nations of the region are with Iran.’

He added that as Ayatollah Khamenei said there will be no wars or negotiations with the US.

‘Any accidents happen in the region, we will have stances relatively.’

Aljazairi added that the Americans do not know that the region cannot stand any further crises and that the nations of the region are aware of things.

He said that the US totalitarianism is over.
‘All are ready for the probable war; if there is a war, Iran will definitely be victorious.’

The US unilateral moves to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JPOCA) endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and restore the sanctions on Iran, and provocative conduct and threatening regional countries, e.g. Iran and Iraq, have made numerous Iraqi officials and figures criticize Washington. 

They issued statements or interviewed with IRNA to warn against the consequences of the US moves. They also stressed the unity of Iraq and Iran, the power of Iran to counter any threat or invasion, the dangers of the US bellicose measures, and the necessity to curb them.
