Tanzania Supports Syria in Fighting Terrorism

Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Hossam al-Din Ala discussed with Foreign Minister of Tanzania Bernard Membe bilateral relations between Syria and Tanzania and the latest developments in the country.
During the meeting, Ala briefed the Tanzanian senior official on the acts of the armed terrorist groups who target the civilians and infrastructure, supported by countries inside and outside the region through facilitating the entrance of gunmen and the smuggling of weapons into the country.
He also presented an explanation on the political program to resolve the crisis in Syria and the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to find a way out of it, based on the national comprehensive dialogue led by Syria and among the Syrians to apply this program.
Membe, for his part, said that his country understands the Syrian government stance in combating terrorism and facing the conspiracy to which it is exposed, adding that his country’s support to Syria in fighting terrorism stems from its commitment to the United Nations principles.
Both sides agreed to continue communication and coordination between the two countries.
