ISIL Commander Killed in Iraq’s Al-Anbar Province

Abu Omar, a senior commander of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), was killed in Al-Karameh region of Al-Anbar province in Western Iraq.

“Abu Omar was ISIL’s commander in Al-Falahat town of Al-Karameh region,” Commander of the pro-government Awakening Council Forces in Al-Karameh region Mahmoud Al-Marazi said on Sunday.

Meantime, a local official said that more than 70 ISIL terrorists have been killed in Western Al-Anbar province.
The security forces and the tribes foiled an attempt by about 70 ISIL terrorists to storm into Haditha district, killing all of them and destroying all of their vehicles, Mayor of Haditha District Abdulkareem al-Jighaifi told Iraqi News.
