Kashmiris and Pakistanis commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali

Thousands of Muslims in Indian-controlled Kashmir have flocked to mosques and religious places to mark the martyrdom anniversary of the first Imam, Imam Ali. During the ceremonies, prayers praised Imam Ali’s teachings and discussed his personality. Shahana Butt tells us more in her report from Kashmir.
Pakistani Muslims have held ceremonies across the country to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of first Imam, Imam Ali. In the port city of Karachi, mourners braved the scorching heat to attend the ceremonies. They also used the opportunity to slam Western countries’ anti-Islam policies.
