Israel detained Al-Jazeera crew in Bil’in

Zionist forces detained three journalists and a peace activist Sunday in the West Bank village of Bil’in, under the pretext they entered a closed military zone.

Al-Jazeera crew members Majdi Banura and Nader Abu Zer detained in addition to an Irish journalist identified only as Tom and a female peace activist of unknown nationality.

Zionist military spokeswoman confirmed that two people were detained including a female Zionist civilian. Another Palestinian was briefly detained and then released, she added.

The rally headed toward Israel’s barrier, which cuts through half of the city and is still under construction, where they were met with tear gas and rubber-coated bullets. Dozens suffered tear-gas inhalation, participants said, and soldiers briefly invaded the village.
