Sheikh Ekrima Sabri: Sheikh Jarrah to remain the torch of resistance in Palestine

Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem, has affirmed that the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah “will remain the torch of resistance in Palestine.”

“Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood will remain the torch of resistance due to its geographical and historical dimensions and its location in the heart of Occupied Jerusalem,” Sheikh Sabri said in press remarks on Saturday.

He warned that Israel’s plots against Sheikh Jarrah, Silwan and other neighborhoods of the holy city are part of its efforts to besiege the Aqsa Mosque with Judaization projects.

He denounced the Palestinian Authority leadership for its passive position towards Jerusalem, describing it as “politically paralyzed.”
