Hamas declares that the ‘Sinwar storm’ poses a significant threat to ‘israel’, stating its strength remains unaffected by assassination attempts
A senior official from Hamas has asserted that the anti-Israeli efforts spearheaded by Yahya Sinwar, the former Chief of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement, will ultimately result in the downfall of the Israeli regime.
Khaled Mashal, the overseas political leader of the organization, delivered a statement in Istanbul, Turkey, during a commemoration ceremony for Sinwar, who was recently killed by the regime in the Gaza Strip.
According to his statement, Sinwar launched a significant offensive against the Israeli government, claiming it has triggered upheaval and will ultimately lead to its downfall.
Mashal stated that despite the enemy’s intentions to subject Sinwar to an unfavorable fate, divine intervention ensured he fulfilled a noble destiny. Sinwar lived courageously and met an honorable end.
He further emphasized that the Palestinian resistance is committed to opposing Israeli actions and is open to any strategy that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people and brings an end to the hostilities.
Hamas’s Political Bureau’s deputy chief, Khalil al-Hayya, announced last Friday the confirmed death of former political leader Yahya Sinwar, attributing his assassination to ongoing Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip. Al-Hayya marked Sinwar’s death as a martyrdom, occurring amidst what he described as acts of genocide by the Israeli regime, a conflict that has persisted for over a year.
**”Resistance Continues to Show Strong Defiance”**
Osama Hamdan, the representative of Hamas in Lebanon, stated that the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar has not diminished the resistance. This assertion was supported by a recent operation conducted by the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, targeting Israeli forces in the northern Gaza city of Jabalia.
In a recent operation, resistance fighters ambushed Israeli military forces, resulting in the death of a colonel who was at the helm of the 401st Armored Brigade. The attack also left the deputy commander and an officer from the brigade’s 52nd Battalion critically injured.
In a statement praising recent diplomatic efforts, Hamdan commended Sinwar for his role in halting the aggression against Gaza, emphasizing that this was achieved without undermining the rights of its residents.
He stated that Sinwar’s courageous leadership and steadfast determination propelled him to actively oppose the occupation from the forefront.
In a statement, Hamdan emphasized that the resilient population in northern Gaza remains steadfast in thwarting the strategies of the occupation leaders, whom he equated to modern-day Nazi generals.
He was alluding to a week-long intensive operation conducted by the regime targeting northern regions. This campaign is designed to intensify the regime’s blockade on these areas, effectively halting the delivery of humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians residing within. Furthermore, the regime has declared the areas a “closed military zone,” a designation that allows them to classify remaining residents as combatants, thereby justifying potential offensive actions against them.
