Lebanon’s Hezbollah strikes several ‘israeli’ military sites in support of Gaza

Lebanon's resistance movement Hezbollah has targeted several Israeli military sites in the north of the occupied Palestinian territories in yet another show of support for Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Lebanese resistance movement on Sunday hit two buildings where Israeli soldiers were stationed in the al-Malikiyeh area near the Lebanese border with the occupied Palestine “with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits.”

Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news network said Hezbollah struck on Sunday a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the occupation military’s Ramim barracks “with missile weapons, achieving a direct hit.” ‏

The resistance movement also targeted “with Falaq-1 missiles” the Israeli military’s Zibdin barracks in Lebanon’s occupied Shebaa Farms.

Hezbollah confirmed that the strikes came “in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and in support of their brave and honorable resistance.”

That comes as al-Mayadeen reported earlier in the day that an Israeli drone strike had targeted a truck in the western Syrian city of al-Qusayr in the countryside of Homs near the border with Lebanon, claiming the lives of two Hezbollah fighters.

In two separate statements, the martyrs were identified by Hezbollah as Ahmad Mohammad al-Affi and Hussein Ali al-Dirani.

Hezbollah and Israel have been trading fire on a daily basis since October last year when the occupying regime waged a war on Gaza, with reports showing that more than 270 people on the Lebanese side, including Hezbollah fighters and civilians, have lost their lives as a result of the fighting.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hezbollah, warned in a televised speech last Friday that the Israeli regime will “pay with blood” the price for the killing of civilians in the country’s south, stressing that the resistance movement will not back down from supporting Palestinians in Gaza.

Israel’s war on Gaza started on October 7, hours after the territory’s resistance movements carried out a surprise retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.

The Israeli military has also been carrying out attacks against the Lebanese territory since then after Hezbollah began targeting regime’s military positions in support of the Gazans.

The movement has vowed to keep up its reprisal operations as long as the Tel Aviv regime continues its onslaught against Gaza.

The Israeli aggression against Gaza has so far claimed the lives of nearly 30,000 Palestinians, with women and children accounting for a significant part of the fatalities, while some 70,000 others have been wounded as a result of the invasion.
