Iran, N Korea expand educational ties

Iran and North Korea have signed a two-year pact for the expansion of cultural and scientific exchanges in their bilateral relations in the educational sphere.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali Fathollahi attended the signing ceremony in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang, the North’s state-run television KRT reported Friday.

An Iranian delegation headed by Fathollahi also visited an electronic library in the North Korean capital.

Tehran and Pyongyang prepare for further cooperation as President of North Korea’s Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) Kim Yong-Nam is scheduled to visit Iran next summer.
